Why choose an Anglian Garage Door?
-
Security as Standard
To protect your belongings from intruders, our garage doors have multi-point locking as standard. Automatic locking is included with roller and sectional doors, and we offer keypad entry for automated up and over doors to increase security.
-
Safety Features
Sectional and roller doors have collision detection when they close, reversing direction if they detect an obstruction, preventing them from closing on you or your car. Up and over doors have tension springs and guide rails to prevent de-railing and makes opening smoother, quieter and safer.
-
Durable and Long-lasting
The materials in our garage doors mean they are weather-resistant and stand the test of time. Steel and aluminium doors are treated to protect them from rust and weather damage. GRP is an incredibly strong composite material that won’t rot or weather over time.

Common Questions About Garage Doors FAQ
The cost of a garage door depends on its size, material, style, and whether it's electric. Larger doors cost more. Different materials have different costs. Styles can have different prices because of the work involved. Automated doors are more expensive because of the electrics. Optional extras like glazing, finish, and hardware can also increase the cost. To get an idea of the price, look at our garage door price list.
Some garage doors are better at insulating than others. The material of the door is the main factor in determining insulation. Metal garage doors, like steel sectional or aluminium roller doors, have insulation to keep out the cold and heat. Other materials, such as wood or GRP, are insulating because they do not conduct temperature well. However, doors with built-in insulation are more effective.
We have two styles of garage door that are perfect for short driveways. Our roller garage doors and sectional garage doors roll up into the roof of your garage without taking up space inside or outside.
Our side hinged garage doors can have a built-in access door. This option is what we call a "third split" door. This creates one full opening with one large door and one small door in the last third of the opening. This built-in access opens independently from the larger door. If you have another entrance to your garage, we also have a variety of exterior doors available.
We can block up your garage door or move the opening and remove any existing doors. Any new brickwork is replaced to match the existing building. If you’re replacing a garage door with an external door or adding windows, we can do that as well. Choose new windows and doors from our extensive range. All work required is assessed by our design consultant and included in your free no-obligation quote.
The best garage door for you depends on what you need. Every material and style has its own strengths. Steel sectional and aluminium roller doors are electric and have automatic locking. Up and over doors can be electric or manual and have keypad entry for more security. Sectional doors and aluminium roller doors retract into the ceiling to save space inside and out. Side hinged doors open outward, great if your garage has low ceilings that can't house doors that open into the ceiling.
