As their name suggests double roller blinds, also known as dual roller blinds, have two rolls of fabric in one cassette. One layer is traditional fabric while the other is translucent. They can be raised and lowered separately or together using cords or they can be motorised.
Like most roller blinds, the rolls fit in a single housing above your window or door opening. However, the housing for a double roller blind is larger than a standard roller, so you need to allow more space for it.
Lower the fabric layer blind as you would a normal blind to block out the light and give privacy. Or lower the translucent layer to let in diffused light while maintaining a level of privacy. Lowering both layers together means you have a double layer, giving superior room darkening and privacy.

- Law and jurisdiction.
