Panel blinds are large fabric panels that hang from a track above. When open, they stack one behind one another to one side of the window or door. When closed the panels sit beside each other, slightly overlapping, providing privacy and light control.

Panel blinds hang vertically from a rail and slide open or closed by hand with a cord. The fabric panels stack in front of one another when fully open on one side of the door or window. When open, they provide an uninterrupted bank of fabric that slightly overlaps to keep out as much light as possible.

- Law and jurisdiction.
